Technology Area

Diagnostic and prognostic technology

The project aims at designing an R&D platform allowing the fabrication of tools capable of analyzing the response of tumors taken from patients to predict the response to in vivo treatment.

Achievements and impact

The team has developed a unique tool, combining a new biological model generated from the patient’s tumor, and the microfluidic device allowing the culture and treatment of this tissue. This tool will allow the testing of a range of therapies (standard and emerging) to provide physicians with an individualized analysis of each patient’s sensitivity to different treatment options.
